Year 2023: a new look for Acta Myologica

Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with immense pleasure that we are writing to you about the release of the first issue of 2023 Acta Myologica journal in a new graphic layout. It is evident to all of us that our profession is going through tremendous and ongoing transformations. One of the most critical points remains our ability to equip ourselves with advanced, modern communication tools that are easily accessible and, above all, to publish relevant scientific data of interest to the younger generations of researchers. With this in mind the Board of the journal with the support of the Italian Association of Myology and the Mediterranean Society of Myology has decided to relaunch the journal still taking up the philosophy and values that have always they supported it but providing it with the necessary tools to keep pace with the times. In addition to the restyling of the journal, also the website has been restyled with the latest version of the Open Journal Systems platform to better manage the peer review of articles. The electronic submission will reduce editorial processing and review times, and therefore overall publishing times.
